A Foggy Day (feat. Martin Stegner on Viola)
Crossover | Dianne Reeves & The Berlin Philharmonic
A very special concert performed on New Year's Eve in 2003 that combined Dianne Reeves' trio and awe-inspiring voice with the incredible force and accuracy of one of the world's most renowned orchestras. The whole concert, available on DVD and on the Berliner Philharmoniker's online platform is certainly worth watching. In this rendition of A Foggy Day, one of the orchestras viola players, Martin Stegner, impresses with a brilliant improvised solo. He has been a keen jazz musician since his youth, and has appeared at numerous festivals, performing with artists such as Herbie Mann, Diane Reeves, Thomas Quasthoff and Nils Landgren.
